MimiMinu has personally addressed rumors surrounding a luxury necklace allegedly gifted by G-Dragon, clarifying that the widely reported ₩16 million (approx. $12,000) price tag is not accurate.
The clarification came during the April 1 broadcast of SBS PowerFM’s radio show Wendy’s Youngstreet, where MimiMinu appeared alongside Cha Tae-hyun and Mimi to promote the return of the program Young Talent Discovery: Infinity.
As expected, the conversation quickly turned to his connection with G-Dragon. Earlier reports claimed that MimiMinu received a high-end necklace worth ₩16 million as a gift after serving as the main MC at G-Dragon’s fan meeting in February, sparking widespread attention online.
Responding to the rumors, MimiMinu set the record straight, stating, “There were articles saying the necklace was worth ₩16 million, but it’s not that expensive. Still, to me, it’s worth much more than that.” His comment reflected both humility and genuine appreciation, showcasing his status as a successful fan.
He also clarified that his relationship with G-Dragon has not reached the level of close “hyung-dongsaeng” (older-younger brother) dynamics, despite the public interest in their interaction.
