Steven Cheung, a former member of the popular boy group Boy’Z, saw his fame collapse in 2019 after being exposed for maintaining relationships with multiple women at the same time. The controversy sparked intense public backlash, leading to his complete exile from Hong Kong’s entertainment industry.
Seven years after the scandal, Cheung still struggles to find stable employment. He has taken on various jobs, including working in hotels, restaurants, and construction sites, but reportedly quit each within a few months. Currently, he earns a living by doing manual labor and handing out flyers on the streets just to make ends meet.

Due to his unstable income, his family has fallen into severe financial hardship. They were once evicted from their apartment after failing to pay rent for several months. As the sole breadwinner, Cheung supports a household of eight, including his wife, four children—one of whom has autism two relatives battling cancer, and even two pets with health issues.
Facing overwhelming financial pressure, Cheung revealed that he underwent sterilization in 2023 to prevent having more children. At one point, he even considered sending his children to welfare institutions because he could no longer support them, but ultimately abandoned the idea, unable to bear the thought of being separated from them.

According to a close acquaintance, Cheung’s current situation is dire. His children often lack adequate food and clothing, and he has had to ask acquaintances for milk one box at a time to feed them.
Moved by his circumstances, the friend arranged for a local grocery store near Cheung’s home to cover the family’s expenses. Whenever needed, Cheung and his wife can collect food and daily necessities without immediate payment.
It was reported that the family only takes essential items such as powdered milk and medicine. To date, the total bill covered by the friend has already exceeded six figures.

Born in 1984, Steven Cheung was once a singer and actor in Hong Kong’s entertainment scene. He rose to fame alongside Kenny Kwan as part of Boy’Z, a group often dubbed the “male version” of Twins. With their good looks and talent, Boy’Z became a symbol of youth for fans in the 1980s and 1990s generation, standing alongside stars like Gillian Chung and Charlene Choi.
However, one scandal was enough to erase years of success, leaving behind a life of hardship that continues to this day.
