In the early hours of February 26 at 3:42 a.m., Jungkook went live for approximately 1 hour and 28 minutes. During the broadcast, he was seen drinking and singing alongside a friend he lives with and his older brother.

While chatting casually with viewers, Jungkook mentioned his busy schedule, saying, “February was really busy. I didn’t even have time to go to the dermatologist. February was extremely busy, and March will be busy too. Since the comeback is right around the corner, there’s a lot to prepare.”

At one point, when his friend began smoking during the livestream, Jungkook remarked, “Stop smoking and sing. We’re live—why are you smoking?” He then added, “Honestly, I don’t even know what I’m supposed to be careful about during live broadcasts. I just want to do this comfortably. Comfortably. I’m human too. I don’t know. I just turned it on because I wanted to.”

Jungkook also appeared to express frustration toward his agency, HYBE’s subsidiary label BigHit Music. “I like you guys,” he told fans. “I don’t know… I’m just annoyed. I just want to live the way I want. I don’t know. I don’t even know about the company. But I don’t want to lose the things that matter to me, so I’ll still do well.”

Speaking to his friend, he continued candidly, “Isn’t this just my personality and my thoughts when I’m a bit drunk? Just speak comfortably. Don’t worry about the company. That’s how I really feel. Of course, this could become controversial, I don’t know. But this is me—what can I do?”

During the broadcast, Jungkook was also seen making an offensive hand gesture toward his friend and laughing while shouting an English profanity (“F***”) at the camera, further fueling discussion online.

Meanwhile, BTS is set to make a comeback on March 20 at 1 p.m. KST with their 5th full-length album, “ARIRANG.” The album will include 14 tracks and is said to explore themes of identity, longing, and deep love.
