aaron yan sexual harassment

Taiwanese singer-actor Aaron Yan has made a shocking revelation about his time in the boy group Fahrenheit, alleging that he was sexually harassed by a fellow member during the group’s early days.

Fahrenheit—consisting of Jiro Wang, Calvin Chen, Wu Chun, and Aaron Yan—debuted in 2005 and quickly rose to massive popularity across Asia. However, nearly two decades later, Yan has shared painful memories from that period, saying the trauma still lingers.

Appearing on the podcast Wow! Is Something Happening? to promote his new album, Aaron Yan reflected on the public perception that the group members had a close bond. He admitted that, for him, the experience was far more difficult than fans realized.

He explained that differences in lifestyle, interests, and even sexual orientation created distance between him and the others. According to Yan, he often felt misunderstood, describing the group dynamic as resembling “straight male” behavior that excluded him.

Yan then revealed that during the promotional period for Fahrenheit’s first album in 2006, an outsourced staff member would initiate a so-called “lottery ball” game in the group’s van.

“The ‘lottery ball’ meant he would first reach into my pants and touch me, and then the others (referring to the members) would join in. That’s something I experienced,” Yan said.

He claimed that throughout the months-long promotion period, he was the only one subjected to this behavior whenever they boarded the van.

When asked whether he resisted, Yan responded that he tried to push back with an awkward smile but ultimately felt he had no choice but to go along with it.

“They probably thought it was just joking around, like the kind of roughhousing straight men do,” he said.

He added that he did not dare report the incident to the company at the time. Even now, 19 years later, the memory remains deeply painful and difficult to erase.

Yan’s comments have sparked widespread discussion online, with fans expressing shock and concern over his long-hidden trauma. As of now, the other former Fahrenheit members have not publicly responded to the allegations.
