According to Naver, a recent poll conducted by the online community DC Inside asked users to vote for the star they believe would be the most difficult to live with as a spouse. The poll, which gathered over 22,000 votes, quickly drew attention for its controversial results. Topping the list were Goo Hye Sun and Han So Hee—both widely recognized for their beauty and talent, yet also known for highly publicized personal controversies.
Goo Hye Sun ranked first with nearly 5,000 votes, accounting for 23% of the total. She was followed by comedian and MC Park Na Rae with 4,526 votes (21%). Han So Hee also made the top five, drawing significant attention as one of the most talked-about names on the list.
Naver described Goo Hye Sun as an actress with a kind, innocent image and remarkable intelligence. She recently completed her master’s thesis and graduated from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). With years of work in the entertainment industry, she has also accumulated substantial wealth, including ownership of an entire building.
Despite her achievements, Goo Hye Sun’s turbulent love life has left a lasting impression on the public. She married actor Ahn Jae Hyun in 2016, but the once-beloved celebrity couple divorced amid intense controversy in 2019. During the split, Goo Hye Sun publicly accused her younger husband of infidelity and emotional neglect. However, Dispatch later released evidence suggesting Ahn Jae Hyun was not at fault, instead portraying Goo Hye Sun as overly jealous and demanding during their five-year relationship.
As a result, public opinion shifted dramatically. The actress, best known for Boys Over Flowers, faced severe backlash and was even labeled “the queen of attention-seeking” by critics who felt her actions were excessive and confusing.
Han So Hee, meanwhile, is celebrated for her striking, rebellious beauty and is often called “the next Song Hye Kyo.” Born in 1994, she began her career as a model before transitioning into acting. Her popularity surged in 2020 after her role as a mistress in The World of the Married, earning her the nickname “the most beautiful third woman in Korean dramas.”
However, her image took a major hit following a dating scandal involving actor Ryu Jun Yeol. Han So Hee was accused of being involved in a so-called “transit love”—starting a new relationship before fully ending a previous one—and allegedly interfering in Ryu Jun Yeol’s relationship with actress Hyeri.
Although she initially denied the allegations, Han So Hee later deleted her statements and admitted, “I’m sorry. My personality can be quite impulsive.” The controversy severely damaged her reputation. She lost multiple endorsement deals, and Korean media described her situation as “pressing the self-destruct button on her own career” due to poor crisis management.
Compounding the issue, Han So Hee also revealed that her mother had been involved in fraud cases, prompting the actress to publicly state that she would not take responsibility for her mother’s debts. Her impulsive personality and complicated family background further fueled the perception that she might be “unsuitable for marriage.”
Park Na Rae, who ranked second in the poll, has also faced intense criticism due to multiple scandals, including tax evasion allegations. Former managers accused her of workplace bullying, sexual harassment, illegal prescription practices, and delayed payments. She has since suspended her activities.
While the poll reflects subjective opinions rather than facts, it highlights how personal controversies can heavily influence public perception—especially when it comes to sensitive topics like marriage and long-term relationships in the spotlight of Korean celebrity culture.
