On the February 6 broadcast of MBN’s Jun Hyun-moo’s Plan 3, Kang Seung-yoon appeared as a guest alongside fellow WINNER member Kim Jin-woo, with the pair visiting popular restaurants in Anyang, Gyeonggi Province.

During the show, Jun Hyun-moo introduced WINNER as a group “with the aura of victory,” noting that they became the first male idol group to surpass 100 million streams. Kang Seung-yoon confirmed the achievement, explaining that while many hit songs by male idol groups typically top out at tens of millions of annual streams, WINNER’s “REALLY REALLY” exceeded 100 million streams on domestic music platforms.

Released in 2017, “REALLY REALLY” reached the milestone within 39 weeks of its release, becoming the first song by a male idol group to remain on the charts long enough to achieve 100 million streams. Kang also revealed that he was responsible for both the lyrics and composition of the song, prompting Jun Hyun-moo to marvel at the scale of the copyright royalties it must generate.

Kang clarified that royalty income peaks when a song is at the height of its popularity and gradually declines over time. However, when asked directly about the amount, he admitted that the earnings are substantial, stating that his monthly copyright royalties reach “the hundreds of millions of won.” The revelation drew reactions from the hosts, with Jun Hyun-moo calling the song a true “cash cow” and KwakTube joking that Kang’s many accessories suddenly made sense.

With monthly royalties reportedly reaching such figures, it’s little surprise that speculation about Kang Seung-yoon having assets worth tens of billions of won continues to circulate rumors that now seem far less exaggerated than before.
