On February 2, the first episode of SBS’s new variety show But Seriously! aired, featuring a 2-on-2 group meeting between Tak Jae-hoon, Kai, Lee Soo-ji, and Jeon So-min. During the episode, the four cast members took time to get to know one another by showing personal items they carry with them.
When Jeon So-min pulled out a Chanel wallet, she explained, “I don’t own many luxury items. The only time I really splurged was when I bought myself a nice bag with the money I earned early on. But this luxury wallet was a gift. It’s my first-ever Chanel.”
She then shared the story behind it, saying, “When Sixth Sense ended, Yoo Jae-suk gave each of the cast members a luxury wallet as a Christmas gift, thanking us for our hard work. That’s when I received this. I’ve been using it so well for five or six years now.”
Hearing this, Kai and Lee Soo-ji reacted excitedly, joking, “So can we look forward to something too?” and “What will we get for Christmas?” Jeon So-min grew slightly concerned, saying, “Am I putting him (Yoo Jae-suk) in an awkward position by saying this?” but Kai and Lee Soo-ji replied optimistically that they were also doing programs with senior entertainers like Tak Jae-hoon and Lee Sang-min.
Tak Jae-hoon quickly cut in with a joke, saying, “Will this program even last until Christmas? Maybe that’s what we should be hoping for first,” drawing laughter from everyone.
Lee Soo-ji commented, “You must have been really touched receiving that wallet,” to which Jeon So-min replied, “It was my first time receiving a luxury gift, and it was a Chanel wallet, no less. I’ve been using it for a long time, and it feels like it shines even more as time goes by.”
Tak Jae-hoon, who had been forming a playful romantic chemistry with Jeon So-min, jokingly said, “I’d prefer it if you didn’t use that wallet in front of me from now on. It’s not jealousy—I’ll give you an even better gift.” Jeon So-min declined, saying, “I’m fine with gifts that come without a reason.”
Tak Jae-hoon responded teasingly, “Don’t people always give gifts for a reason? Was Jae-suk’s gift meaningless then?” When Jeon So-min explained that it was meant as a thank-you for finishing the program together, Tak Jae-hoon replied flirtatiously, “You get that moved by something like that? You’re going to be very moved from now on. You’ll be crying buckets,” drawing attention and laughter from the set.
