According to industry reports on January 22, Roh Yoon-seo has been confirmed for Moving 2, taking on a role that did not appear in the first season. She is expected to show a fresh side of herself that audiences have not seen in her previous works.

Moving, based on the popular webtoon by Kang Full, was a breakthrough for Korean superhero content. Its first season aired in August 2023 across 20 episodes, blending superpower action with emotional narratives about teenagers hiding their abilities and their parents concealing painful pasts. The show set a new benchmark for Korean hero series and played a significant role in elevating Disney+’s visibility in the Asian streaming market. It also introduced rising stars like Go Youn-jung, Lee Jung-ha, and Kim Do-hoon.

Season 1 was a record-breaker, becoming the most-watched Korean original on Disney+ and Hulu globally in its debut week. By the time the final episode aired, viewership had more than tripled, making it the most-watched local content on the platform worldwide.

A key change in Moving 2 is the directorial shift. Director Park In-je, who helmed the first season, will step down, with Kingdom director Kim Sung-hoon taking over for the sequel. Actor Lee Jung-ha, who portrayed Kim Bong-seok, will be replaced due to his upcoming enlistment in the Marine Corps on January 26. The production is currently finalizing its casting and aims to start filming this summer.
