In a recent appearance on the YouTube channel Channel 15ya, actor Hyun Bin offered fans a rare glimpse into his real-life marriage with fellow actor and wife, Son Ye Jin. The video, titled “The Reality of Star Couples,” featured Hyun Bin along with Made in Korea co-stars Woo Do Hwan, Seo Eun Soo, and Park Yong Woo.
During the conversation, producer Na Young Seok brought up the couple’s historic win at the 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards, where both Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin took home Best Actor and Actress awards. “It’s so cool,” Na commented. “Do you prepare together when you go to events like that as a couple?”
Seo Eun Soo quickly chimed in, “They go to different salons,” to which Na responded in surprise, “That’s not what I imagined.” Hyun Bin explained that while he knew about the popularity award results ahead of time due to voting, the Best Actor win came as a surprise.

Na then asked if the couple celebrated the award win together later that evening. Hyun Bin candidly replied, “No, we each went to our own teams.” Na, visibly disappointed, joked, “That’s so underwhelming. I imagined something way more romantic.”
Hyun Bin continued, “I had that romantic image too. But in reality, we each had people we worked hard with, so we celebrated with them. The next day, we went back to work like normal.”
The actor also shared a sweet anecdote about their son, saying, “Our child loves motorcycles. When he sees delivery riders, he always greets them with a loud ‘Hello!’ He’s into cartoons, so we let him watch 10 minutes a day. Right now, he’s obsessed with a firefighting helicopter from ‘*Tayo.’ He always carries a tiny toy around.”

Park Yong Woo added, “The baby is absolutely adorable. I saw a picture, and he looks like a cartoon character come to life.” Seo Eun Soo agreed, saying, “He’s the cutest baby I’ve ever seen.”
Viewers who watched the video had mixed reactions. Some expressed surprise at how realistic and non-romantic the couple seemed, with comments like, “So it’s all for show?”, “They’re just like any other couple,” and “Curious who does more parenting.” Others appreciated the honesty, noting, “It’s relatable,” and “That’s just what married life is like.”
