Tzuyang opened up about her experience attending the 2025 MBC Entertainment Awards in a candid video shared on her YouTube channel “Tzuyang Outside the Garden” on January 11, titled “I Starved Since Last Night – MBC Entertainment Awards Review.”
In the video, she detailed the behind-the-scenes of attending the event where she unexpectedly won the Popularity Award. Tzuyang admitted, “I didn’t expect it at all. I only attended because I was nominated for the Best Couple Award, and with Kim Yeon Koung being so popular, I was already thankful just to be a nominee.”
She became emotional after winning, saying, “My mind went blank the moment I received the award — I felt like I was going to cry.”
Reflecting on her all-black awards dress, Tzuyang said, “I couldn’t just show up looking sloppy like usual.” Her staff jokingly responded, “That’s a Grand Prize-level dress!” to which she protested, “What do you mean Grand Prize-level? I picked a modest dress!”
On the day of the ceremony, Tzuyang video-called her parents, nervously saying, “This dress is too much. It’s the most revealing one I’ve worn.”
She confessed she was so anxious that she couldn’t eat all day: “It’s crazy. I haven’t eaten since last night. I’m so hungry I might faint, but I’m also so nervous I don’t even feel the hunger.”
Tzuyang previously revealed that her weight fluctuates between 44kg and 46kg, adding to fans’ concerns about her health during such high-pressure appearances.
Despite the nerves, her appearance and heartfelt reaction left a lasting impression on fans — both for her vulnerability and for her big win.
