According to an exclusive report on January 8, EXID’s Hani has been confirmed as the protagonist of KBS2’s upcoming weekend series Love Comes, scheduled to premiere in August. This marks her first drama appearance in three years.
In the series, Hani plays Han Gyu Rim, the owner of a small side-dish shop in a traditional market. Her character is known for being deeply involved in the lives of those around her someone who rushes to help whenever trouble arises and celebrates others’ happiness as if it were her own. She is portrayed as an emotional, overly caring, and honest person who cannot hide her feelings.

The drama tells the story of a fractured family one that constantly clashes, wishes to escape from one another, yet still worries and stands united when true hardship strikes.
Love Comes is written by Lee Kyung Hee, known for acclaimed works such as I’m Sorry, I Love You and Uncontrollably Fond, and directed by Hong Seok Goo.
This project is particularly meaningful for Hani. Her last drama appearance was the Disney+ series Call It Love in 2023, and her last terrestrial TV drama was MBC’s XX in 2020. Notably, Love Comes will be her first-ever KBS drama, as well as her first time leading a KBS weekend series once known as a “ratings guarantee” slot.
Love Comes will air as the follow-up to Recipe For Love, which premieres on January 31, and is set to debut in August on KBS2.
