According to reports on June 6, 2PM is preparing for a local performance in Japan to thank their devoted fans on the occasion of their Japan debut anniversary. Having previously held concerts in both Korea and Japan to celebrate their overall 15th debut anniversary, the members are eager to repay the love from Japanese fans by gathering once again for this special milestone.
2PM debuted in Korea in 2008 and then made their Japanese debut in May 2011. Ahead of their official debut in Japan, their showcase attracted around 25,000 spectators, marking a significant breakthrough. Within two years, they played at Tokyo Dome and drew a combined audience of 110,000 over two days, riding the peak of K-pop’s global wave.

Now celebrating their 18th anniversary since Korean debut, 2PM members have diversified their careers across singing, acting, and variety shows.
Lee Junho has established himself as a dependable actor, starring in several hit dramas such as King the Land, Typhoon Company, and most recently Cashier. Additionally, his solo debut in Japan in 2013, boosted by 2PM’s popularity, continues to thrive with successful solo fan concerts as recent as last year.
Jang Wooyoung remains with JYP Entertainment and actively engages in entertainment programs. His unique sense of humor shines through in Netflix variety shows like the Doriver series and as an MC for the dating reality show Noona Is My Girl. He also returned to music with a mini-album release in late 2022, showcasing his sustained presence.
Junsu (Jun. K) is credited for 2PM’s resurgence in 2020 with his self-composed track ‘Our House’. Celebrating his 10th solo debut anniversary this year, he released a solo album last year continuing his solo career.

Taecyeon has transitioned into acting, receiving a Mini-Series Excellence Award at the 2022 KBS Drama Awards for The First Night With the Duke, where he thanked his fellow members. Junho also pursues dual careers as a singer and actor, with a strong presence in Japan through album releases and tours, and recently appeared in the Korean drama Ms. Incognito.
Their last full-group album, MUST, was released in 2021. Despite busy individual activities, the members have expressed a strong desire to be active as 2PM again. In a 2022 interview, Jang Wooyoung shared, “No matter how busy we are with solo activities, we are always thinking about showing new music and performances as soon as possible,” highlighting their ongoing commitment to their fandom, Hottest.
Coordinating schedules remains challenging due to their individual careers, but mutual respect and effort keep the dream of reunion alive.
Following the trend of 2nd and 3rd generation idol groups such as Big Bang, BTS, Blackpink, and EXO reuniting, 2PM’s upcoming activities promise to enrich the K-pop scene further this year.
This reunion concert marks a meaningful chapter not only for 2PM but also for their dedicated fans across Japan and worldwide who have supported them since their early days.
