According to a report by Japan’s Sponichi on January 1, Jurina Matsui (28) will legally register her marriage to BOYS AND MEN member Tatsunori Tsujimoto (34) later this month. The couple is also expected to formally announce their marriage at a press conference scheduled for next week.

Jurina Matsui and Tsujimoto Tatsunori reportedly first crossed paths briefly in 2014. They later reconnected several years afterward through a mutual acquaintance. Their relationship is said to have deepened significantly in 2022, beginning with a camping trip Tsujimoto attended alongside Matsui and friends, after which the two quickly grew closer and developed into a romantic relationship.

After three years of dating, the couple decided to marry and will personally share the news through a press conference rather than a social media announcement. A source explained that the decision was made because both wanted to convey their marriage directly in their own words.

Jurina Matsui debuted in 2008 as a member of SKE48, a sister group of AKB48, and quickly rose to prominence as one of the franchise’s most recognizable figures. She reached the peak of her idol career by winning first place at the 2018 AKB48 General Election. That year, she appeared as a trainee on Produce 48, drawing attention for her experience and star power, though she ultimately withdrew from the program due to health-related issues. In 2021, she officially graduated from SKE48 and has since focused on pursuing a career in acting.
