Actor Jeon Ho Jun has spoken out after months of controversy, revealing that he was officially cleared of assault allegations and identified as the victim in a case involving his former girlfriend.
Jeon Ho Jun shared a lengthy statement on his personal social media account, addressing the investigation results after remaining silent for seven months. “For the past seven months, I endured severe misunderstandings and harsh criticism due to false accusations,” he wrote. “During that time, I truly realized how a person’s life can collapse in an instant.”

According to the actor, he fully cooperated with authorities throughout the investigation. The final findings concluded that Jeon Ho Jun was not the perpetrator but the victim of physical abuse.
As reported by Chosun, at the time of the incident, Jeon Ho Jun was struck on the head with a cellphone by his ex-girlfriend, identified as “A.” Authorities determined that his actions during the altercation constituted minimal self-defense necessary to protect himself.
In contrast, A has been formally indicted and sent to trial on multiple charges, including aggravated assault, illegal trespassing, and defamation through the dissemination of false information.

Reflecting on the ordeal, Jeon Ho Jun expressed gratitude to his family, friends, and fans who continued to trust and support him during what he described as the darkest period of his life.
The scandal first erupted in May when A publicly accused Jeon Ho Jun of physical assault and alleged that he had taken approximately 10 million won (around USD 7,500) under the pretense of marriage. She supported her claims by releasing photos of bruises on her body.
Jeon Ho Jun swiftly refuted the accusations by releasing photos of his own bloodied face, insisting that the claims were fabricated. He later explained that he had ended the relationship three months prior but faced repeated difficulties fully cutting ties.

On the night of the incident, Jeon Ho Jun stated that A broke into his home in the early hours of the morning, forcing him to call the police for assistance.
Regarding the financial allegations, he firmly denied borrowing or embezzling any money. He clarified that the disputed amounts were minor payments made when his personal card malfunctioned or instances where A voluntarily paid, believing her card would offer better discounts.
Currently, Jeon Ho Jun has no plans to contact his former girlfriend and stated that he will take immediate legal action if the case interferes with the stage production he is actively participating in.
Jeon Ho Jun made his debut in 2007 through the musical Notre Dame de Paris and has since become a familiar face in major productions such as Wicked, Mamma Mia, Chicago, and Kinky Boots. He also gained wider recognition through JTBC’s Phantom Singer 4. In addition to acting, he is currently active as a Pilates instructor.
The case has reignited public discussion around false accusations, male victims of abuse, and the long-lasting impact of unverified claims within the entertainment industry.
