mc mong cha gawon affair rumors

On December 24th, as previously announced on his personal SNS with the message, “TikTok live broadcast. I’ll tell you all the truth,” MC Mong turned on a TikTok live and spoke out about the controversies surrounding him.

MC Mong revealed that his relationship with Cha Ga-won was one in which they “fought a lot,” saying, “I was on the side of the entertainers, and that friend (Cha Ga-won) was on the company’s side. She was very conservative.” Conflicts frequently arose due to differing values about how to run the company.

As if mindful of the affair rumors, MC Mong raised his voice, saying, “(Cha Ga-won) is a friend who is devoted to her family. That friend and I always met together with artists. When the (affair rumor) article came out, all BPM and One Hundred artists must have laughed. I hope this doesn’t become a country where such manipulation is possible.”

He continued in an agitated tone, “I spoke with the media. The informant was in the wrong. They are someone who can’t prove anything. Except for one message, all the text messages mentioned in the article are fake. They pieced together conversations I had with a certain artist and edited them to make it look like a romance. That is absolutely unforgivable. I can’t help but get angry.”

MC Mong also emphasized that he continues to maintain a good relationship as a colleague, saying, “I support Chairman Cha and I still support her. We still talk on the phone, and if there’s a really good idea, we share it,” adding firmly, “I will definitely find the manipulator.”

Regarding the reason for turning on the live broadcast, he said, “If I hide and avoid it like before, you all end up believing it. People call me all kinds of things like ‘Sperm Mong’ and ‘Affair Mong.’”

MC Mong also spoke honestly about why he left One Hundred. Previously, MC Mong co-founded One Hundred with Cha Ga-won in 2023 and served as co-CEO, but left the company in July due to depression and deteriorating health.

He explained, “I realized that I myself was a risk. No matter how hard MC Mong writes songs, no matter how much I try to prove myself, no matter how hard I work for the artists, they ended up being harmed because of me,” adding, “I felt I absolutely couldn’t let that continue, so I said I would leave the company. If I didn’t leave, I felt like I would rot from the inside and explode. But articles came out as if I had debts or was struggling.”

He went on to say, “I left without greed, hoping the growing company and the artists would grow even more. If I had been greedy for money, I would never have left, even if it killed me,” adding, “I hope all BPM and One Hundred artists do well.”

Meanwhile, earlier that day, one media outlet reported that MC Mong was in an extramarital affair with the married Cha Ga-won and released alleged messenger conversations exchanged between the two.

In particular, the messages included MC Mong saying, “I’m so stressed that I don’t even have 2% of live sperm,” and Cha Ga-won replying, “I can make more sperm come out,” and “So that’s why you couldn’t get pregnant no matter how hard you tried,” suggesting that the two were discussing pregnancy, which caused shock.

In response, One Hundred, led by Chairman Cha Ga-won, released an official statement denying the affair rumors with MC Mong, stating, “The contents of the article and the KakaoTalk conversations are all untrue.”

The company explained that the messenger conversations were fabricated under blackmail from Cha Jun-young, a relative of Chairman Cha Ga-won, and stated, “After confirming the report, MC Mong contacted the company to apologize. We plan to take strong legal action against Cha Jun-young and the media outlet that first reported the story.”
