On the latest episode of SBS’s long-running variety show Running Man, aired on December 21, Yoo Jae Suk playfully criticized fellow cast member Kim Jong Kook for his lackluster Christmas outfit—sparking laughter with a lighthearted “exposé” about the singer’s stylist.
The episode, titled “Reach for the Christmas Gift,” featured a special holiday-themed race where each member had to locate their own personalized gift. Before the game kicked off, the cast showcased their Christmas looks, with each member dressing in festive and quirky attire.
But when Kim Jong Kook arrived, the cast was visibly shocked. Dressed in his usual black pants and a plain white t-shirt, he stood in stark contrast to the others. Though he attempted to embrace the theme by pinning Christmas badges all over his shirt and donning red gloves, the effort fell flat.
The other members were quick to mock his minimalist approach. “If you remove the badges, it’s just your gym outfit,” they teased. His predictable attire became the target of a comedic roast.
Yoo Jae Suk, known for his quick wit, took the joke even further. “Jiseon’s been Kim Jong Kook’s stylist for a long time, and she’s fallen into depression,” he said, feigning concern. “There’s no joy in preparing his clothes anymore. It’s always just gym wear.” His remark had the cast in stitches.
Member Haha chimed in, referencing Jong Kook’s appearance on I Am Boxer, saying, “But you dress well on that show!” Yang Se Chan added, “You even go shirtless there,” while Ji Suk Jin joked, “You don’t let Dex outshine you either!”—further fueling the playful jabs.
Despite the teasing, the segment was all in good fun, showcasing the tight-knit camaraderie and quick banter that Running Man is known for. The show continues to air every Sunday at 6:10 PM KST on SBS, bringing laughs to viewers of all ages.
