Comedian Park Na-rae recently released a video addressing the “Key Injection Aunt” controversy. She stated that legal steps were being taken to verify facts and declined to make additional comments. While the video aimed to clarify her stance, a speech analysis expert highlighted subtle nonverbal cues suggesting a defensive posture.
The analysis, shared on YouTube by Park Sa-rang on her channel Park Sa-rang’s Commucode, focused on Park Na-rae’s facial expressions and body language during the video:
- Eye and head movement: Park Na-rae’s head rises slightly before her eyes, unlike a typical apology where head and eyes move together in an “open gaze.” This indicates tension and guardedness.
- Mouth: Her lips remain tightly closed, even at sentence breaks, signaling an active “risk management mode” and extreme defensive control.
- Facial microexpressions: Slight contraction of the eyebrows suggests suppressed discomfort; a minor upward curl of one lip shows emotional distancing rather than amusement or mocking.

Park Sa-rang concluded that in situations where someone wants to hide emotion, a handwritten note or social media post might convey the intended message more effectively than video, as body language inevitably reveals underlying feelings.
Legal experts also commented that while Park Na-rae’s statements were neutral and careful, they do not constitute a formal apology or acknowledgment of wrongdoing.
