YouTuber Lee Jin-ho, on his channel “Entertainment President Lee Jin-ho”, conducted a live broadcast on December 10 titled “Shocking Exclusive! Booking IVs Together…”, discussing the so-called Injection Aunt phenomenon.

Lee Jin-ho compared her to the infamous con artist Jeon Cheong-jo, noting that numerous reports suggested she may have deceived people, though not all implicated celebrities were victims.

Lee Jin-ho described Injection Aunt as a Korean woman from Jeolla Province, born around 1979–1980, with a high school education. She reportedly changed her name and underwent plastic surgery, completely transforming her life.

Previously, she worked as an eyelash technician, noted for her dexterity and social skills. Lee Jin-ho added that her second husband, following the death of her first, operated cosmetics and medical device businesses between Korea and China, potentially helping her charm and influence others.

Regarding celebrity connections, Lee Jin-ho stated, “Many of the celebrities she followed on social media are not widely known. Simply following her does not constitute inclusion on an ‘Injection Aunt list.’ Some friendships exist, but these were formed because people assumed she was a licensed medical professional, not because of any illegal activity. Most interactions took place in hospitals, so that context is important.”

However, Lee Jin-ho emphasized, “Even if people were deceived, they bear responsibility. I hope investigations proceed swiftly. Regarding Park Na-rae, I imagine she was highly suspicious and would have wondered if she was being misled. Authorities must conduct thorough investigations.”

Amid rising attention on Park Na-rae and other celebrities, Lee Jin-ho clarified, “On the show ‘I Live Alone,’ Jun Hyun-moo is completely unrelated. Other names, including Jang Do-yeon and Jung Jae-hyung, have also been confirmed to have no connection to Injection Aunt.”

The controversy stems from allegations reported on December 6 that Park Na-rae received injections and prescription-only antidepressants from the unlicensed practitioner at locations including an officetel in Ilsan, her vehicle, and overseas filming sites. Her agency countered, stating that she only received nutritional IV treatments from a licensed doctor, with no illegal medical acts involved.

In response, Injection Aunt claimed via social media that she studied in Inner Mongolia 12–13 years ago, became the youngest foreign professor at Inner Mongolia Po Kang Medical University Hospital, and facilitated the establishment of a Korean Plastic Surgery Center. She criticized rumors as gossip but later deleted her posts and made her account private.

The Korean Medical Association also weighed in, stating that her actions clearly violate Article 27 of the Medical Service Act as illegal, unlicensed medical practice.

Former KMA president Lim Hyun-taek confirmed that Injection Aunt has been reported to prosecutors under violations of the Medical Service Act, Pharmaceutical Affairs Act, and Health Crimes Act. The government indicated it may pursue administrative investigations depending on the progress of the legal proceedings.
