Park Bo-gum turned the 10th Asia Artist Awards 2025 (AAA 2025) into a memorable night—clinching not one, but two Best Couple awards and making headlines again for his legendary on-screen chemistry.
Held on December 6 at the National Stadium in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, the awards show saw Park Bo-gum win Best Couple with IU for their roles in the Netflix drama When Life Gives You Tangerines (폭싹 속았수다), as well as the 10 Legendary Couple Award with Kim Yoo-jung, his co-star from Love in the Moonlight (구르미 그린 달빛).
“Two couple awards in one night—Bo-gum really is the undisputed king of chemistry,” one fan commented on social media.
But fans were just as delighted by a wholesome behind-the-scenes moment that wasn’t part of the awards show itself. On the morning of the event, Park Bo-gum went for a run in Kaohsiung—with none other than Hyeri, his co-star from the 2015 hit series Reply 1988.
Speaking with Star News, Hyeri revealed, “I don’t usually work out at all, but Bo-gum-oppa insisted we go running to look good on stage today. I ended up going along, and it was honestly a lot of fun.” She joked that the run made her “more puffy than usual”, but said it was worth it for the memories.
Hyeri also shared how she felt warmly welcomed at her first-ever AAA: “I was so happy to see familiar faces like LE SSERAFIM’s Chaewon and Yena. It felt more like a reunion than an awards show.”
Despite winning two couple awards with other actresses, Park Bo-gum’s real-life bond with Hyeri remained a highlight. The two are set to reunite publicly on December 19 for the special variety program Reply 1988: 10th Anniversary, rekindling nostalgia for fans of the iconic drama.
In total, Park Bo-gum walked away with five major awards, including Best Actor of the Year (Daesang). Hyeri, too, was honored with a Best Actor award, capping off a day full of accolades, friendship, and sentimental throwbacks.
