Actor and model Eden Brown, the eldest son of legendary singer-songwriter Jackson Brown, has died at the age of 52. Eden, who first appeared on magazine covers at just six months old alongside his father, was found unresponsive at his home on November 25.

Jackson Brown shared the news on his social media account, asking for privacy and respect for the family. The cause of death has not been disclosed.

Born in 1973 to Jackson Brown and his first wife, actress Phyllis Major, Eden experienced a tragic early life. His mother passed away in 1976 at age 30, leaving Eden to grow up under his father’s care. Jackson has openly discussed the challenges and regrets of balancing his career with raising Eden, yet has consistently praised his son’s character and achievements.

As an adult, Eden carved out his own path as an actor, model, and musician. He modeled for designers like Isaac Mizrahi and received high praise from producer Mark Ronson for his striking features and emotional presence. His acting credits include appearances in Hackers (1995) alongside Angelina Jolie, Raising Helen (2004) with Kate Hudson, and the series Birds of Prey, among other projects.

Jackson Brown has expressed a mixture of pride and regret over Eden’s life. In 2021, he reflected on the difficulty of balancing creative work with parenting, but later described Eden as “a great father, a great son, a remarkable man.”
Fans and the entertainment community have expressed shock and sorrow at the sudden loss of Eden Brown, remembering him as both a talented artist and beloved family man.
