On November 24, a fan collective known as NewJeans Truck Protest Team released a statement criticizing ADOR’s unclear stance and alleged media manipulation during NewJeans’ comeback. “Despite the long-awaited return of NewJeans, what we received in return was an ambiguous attitude from the agency and distorted media narratives. These irresponsible speculative reports are throwing the artists into the center of public scrutiny,” the group stated.
They continued, “It is unacceptable for the agency to talk about its rights while neglecting its duty to protect its artists. We, the Bunnies (NewJeans’ fandom), strongly condemn this contradictory situation in which the company is holding its artists back.”

The fan union issued three demands to HYBE and ADOR: immediate fulfillment of basic artist protection responsibilities, an end to passive observation and media battles, and full transparency in legal actions being taken.
They emphasized that protecting the personalities and rights of Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein is the first step to regaining trust and an essential obligation of the agency. “We ask for immediate and visible measures to safeguard them,” they added.
Fans also criticized the agency’s silence and inaction as “an indirect form of abuse.” They demanded details on what actions are being taken against platforms spreading malicious rumors, calling for “not just performative responses, but real punishments including identifying perpetrators, filing lawsuits, and account terminations.”

The fan union reiterated their full support for all five members of NewJeans, saying, “No matter the situation, we continue to support Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein without change. We will stand by them with unwavering strength.” They are currently collecting protest slogans for the truck demonstration.
So far, all five members have reportedly expressed their intent to return to ADOR. While the agency publicly confirmed Haerin and Hyein’s comeback, it stated it is “still verifying the intentions” of Minji, Hanni, and Danielle.
Meanwhile, fandoms of fellow HYBE groups LE SSERAFIM and ILLIT held their own truck protests earlier on November 20 in front of HYBE’s Yongsan headquarters. These fans opposed NewJeans’ return and insisted reconciliation was impossible, citing concerns over fair treatment and online hate.
With all related agencies ADOR, BELIFT LAB (ILLIT), and Source Music (LE SSERAFIM) now signaling possible legal action over malicious comments, tensions between fandoms continue to rise in the absence of a clear resolution to NewJeans’ comeback controversy.

Fan responses have been polarized online, with comments ranging from curiosity about the protest’s backing to criticism of NewJeans’ return being perceived as a breach of contract. Some netizens voiced frustration over media coverage of the protest plan, while others questioned if the group’s return should even be accepted at all.
