On November 24, the production team of You Quiz on the Block released a preview clip titled, “Manager Kim’s Reliable Partner! Actress Myung Se-bin’s Desperate Past and Behind-the-Scenes from Ryu Seung-ryong.” The full episode will air on November 26 at 8:45 PM KST.
Myung Se-bin, who currently stars as Park Ha-jin, wife of Kim Nak-soo (Ryu Seung-ryong) in the JTBC weekend drama The Dream Life of Mr. Kim, will be featured as the episode’s guest.
According to the production team, Myung candidly discussed her personal struggles in a calm and composed tone, bringing humor and warmth to the show.
“I had to portray a couple who had been married for a long time, but I don’t have much experience with that,” she said, openly referencing her own divorce, which drew laughter on set.
She continued with a heartfelt confession: “After my divorce, I was in such financial hardship that I couldn’t pay off my credit card bills. I thought about what I could sell I sold my bags, and even other belongings. I was truly desperate at the time.”
Myung also revealed that she began learning floral arrangement during a time of career uncertainty. “I even worked part-time at wedding venues,” she added, “but I was told to stay out of sight, to work in the corners where people wouldn’t see me.” Her words reflected the emotional toll of that period.
The episode will also feature an interview with Ryu Seung-ryong, who plays her husband in The Dream Life of Mr. Kim. He shared, “When I heard Myung Se-bin was cast, I was shocked like, really, Myung Se-bin?”
Myung Se-bin previously married a lawyer 11 years her senior in 2007, but the couple divorced just five months later.
