On November 15, the Guri Police Department reported the arrest of a man in his 30s for attempted robbery with a weapon. The suspect, referred to as A, allegedly broke into a luxury villa in Achon-dong, Guri, Gyeonggi Province around 6:00 a.m., wielding a weapon and demanding money from the residents.

The villa in question was revealed to be the home of Nana (Im Jin Ah, 34), known for her work as a singer with After School and later as an actress. At the time of the intrusion, Nana and her mother were at home. Despite the unexpected and dangerous situation, the two women reportedly engaged in a physical struggle with the assailant and successfully overpowered him before calling the police.

By the time police and fire authorities arrived at the scene, the suspect had sustained injuries and was promptly transported to a hospital for treatment. Authorities are now investigating the motive behind the break-in, whether it was premeditated, and how the suspect came to target Nana’s residence specifically.

Law enforcement is also reviewing CCTV footage and access routes around the villa to determine if there were additional accomplices or a broader plan involved.

In an official statement, Nana’s agency confirmed the incident, adding, “It is true.” The confirmation followed earlier reports from Sports Hankook.

Nana debuted with After School in 2009 and later gained immense popularity through the sub-unit Orange Caramel. Over the years, she has established herself as a respected actress with an expanding filmography that includes notable performances in dramas and films. Her role in the Netflix series Mask Girl received critical acclaim for its emotional depth and intensity.
