On the November 12 broadcast of tvN’s You Quiz on the Block (Episode 318), Jo Se-ho met Park Mi-sun, who appeared with short hair following chemotherapy. Jo Se-ho looked somber, prompting MC Yoo Jae-suk to jokingly say, “Don’t frown.”

With sincerity, Jo Se-ho addressed Park Mi-sun: “I’m truly sorry for the way I acted before. I want to sincerely apologize for attending that event. Afterward, I felt cautious about meeting you, and this is my chance to reflect more deeply on breast cancer awareness.”

Park Mi-sun responded with understanding: “You must have been worried.” Jo Se-ho lightened the mood by saying, “Now I can finally smile freely.”

On November 13, Park Mi-sun shared her thoughts through Cube Entertainment: “It was nerve-wracking to stand in front of the camera again, but I wanted to let everyone who supported me know that I’m doing well. Everyone was warm during filming, and I felt comfortable. I’m grateful we could talk and laugh rather than dwell on heavy topics. I will continue to take care of my health and show a positive image in the future.”

The controversy stems from W Korea’s “Love Your W 2025” campaign, held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Gwanghwamun, Seoul on October 15. The charity event aimed to promote early breast cancer detection and raise donations.

However, the event faced severe criticism for its celebrity drinking party atmosphere, which conflicted with its charitable purpose. The invitation even explicitly labeled it a “Breast Cancer Party,” drawing public backlash.

Questions were also raised about the charity’s donations. W Korea reportedly raised about 1 billion KRW ($750,000) this year, with celebrities attending without appearance fees and luxury brands providing donations. Over 20 years, the total donations are estimated at 1.1 billion KRW ($825,000).

W Korea defended the event, stating, “We’ve operated a traveling breast cancer screening bus nationwide for three years, screening over 3,000 people. Many donors prefer not to issue receipts.”
