Fans of (G)I-DLE are expressing outrage after discovering what they claim to be “botched Photoshop edits” in recent selfies of member Miyeon , shared via the group’s official social media channels.

The controversy began when Miyeon’s newly uploaded photos appeared unnaturally altered , with visible distortions and inconsistencies. In particular, one image where Miyeon points a finger toward her chin sparked online debate after fans noticed her finger looked bent and warped , and her facial structure appeared unnaturally modified compared to her actual appearance.

The poorly edited selfies quickly went viral on fan communities and social media, leading many to question whether CUBE Entertainment’s staff were intentionally sabotaging the idol’s images.

Some fans accused the editor of acting with “malicious intent,” noting that this is not the first time a (G)I-DLE member’s photo has been over-edited. In the past, member Shuhua had also indirectly criticized staff for altering her photos excessively.

Online comments included:

“This has got to be on purpose…”
“Why are they ruining such beautiful photos? This feels like trolling.”
“Whoever’s editing these pictures is clearly an anti-fan.”
“Even the unedited versions look so much better why touch them at all?”
“And they get paid for this quality of work? This is insane, CUBE.”

Many fans expressed frustration that CUBE Entertainment has yet to respond to the repeated complaints regarding poor photo editing. Some even suggested that whoever manages the group’s online uploads should be replaced.

Others pointed out that Miyeon is widely regarded as one of K-pop’s most naturally beautiful idols and does not need any photo retouching , making the over-edited images even more unnecessary.

As of now, CUBE Entertainment has not released any official statement addressing the controversy. The company has faced similar criticism in the past for alleged mishandling of artist promotions and social media content.

Fans continue to demand an explanation and a change in how (G)I-DLE’s images are managed, with many calling the recent edits “unprofessional” and “disrespectful.”
