On the November 7 episode of SBS’s variety show My Grumpy Secretary, actor Lee Kwang-soo finally broke his silence about ongoing marriage rumors with his longtime girlfriend Lee Sun-bin, capturing viewers’ attention with his trademark humor and honesty.
As soon as Lee Kwang-soo appeared on set, Lee Seo-jin greeted him by saying, “I saw your girlfriend at the hair salon!”, immediately bringing up his public relationship. Without hesitation, Lee Kwang-soo responded warmly, “It’s already been eight or nine years. We’re doing well,” showing his steady affection for Lee Sun-bin.
The conversation quickly turned playful when Lee Seo-jin commented, “If you’ve been dating for more than two years, you either get married or break up.” Fellow cast member Kim Kwang-gyu teased, “Seo-jin can’t even last a year!”, to which Lee Seo-jin laughed and replied, “Hey, I’ve lasted longer than that. But if you go over two years, you should just get married.”
Pressing on, Lee Seo-jin asked Lee Kwang-soo directly, “You’ve been together for a long time. So what is it are you getting married, or breaking up? ” Lee Kwang-soo, slightly flustered but firm, replied, “Why are you asking that? We’re not breaking up.” His confident answer drew laughter and admiration from everyone on set.
Lee Seo-jin then jokingly remarked, “Do whatever you want. If you break up, you’ll just meet someone else,” while Kim Kwang-gyu quipped, “He’s already broken up plenty of times,” turning the moment into a burst of laughter. Seo-jin concluded the exchange coolly, saying, “That’s why I’m single.”
Later in the show, Lee Seo-jin reunited with producer Na Young-suk, showing off their legendary chemistry. When actors Do Kyung-soo (D.O.) and Ji Chang-wook confessed that Lee Seo-jin made them feel uncomfortable, Na PD joked, “You made a man that grumpy the manager?”, adding to the hilarity.
Previously, Lee Sun-bin appeared on SBS’s My Little Old Boy in June, where she talked about her long-term relationship. She shared, “The secret to our long-lasting relationship is that our personalities and sense of humor match. We’re both playful, so there’s always something to laugh about.” Her candid remarks reflected a mature and affectionate relationship built over the years.
Fans have since expressed their support for the couple, commenting, “They’re such a genuine pair,” “We hope to hear wedding news soon,” and “Eight years and still going strong true love exists!”
As Lee Kwang-soo and Lee Sun-bin continue their eighth year together, their love story remains one of the most beloved real-life romances in the Korean entertainment world.
