On the upcoming November 5th episode of MBC’s Radio Star, J.Y. Park joins Ahn So-hee, Boom, and Kwon Jin-ah for a special “JYPick” edition. During the broadcast, Park shares updates about being approached to serve as a co-chairman for the Popular Culture Exchange Committee. “Though it’s an honorary role with ministerial-level privileges, I declined politely for three months. But they kept contacting me,” he said. He eventually accepted and will share his official position on the matter in a brief statement.

Known for his loyalty to the show, Park said, “Every time I release a new song, ‘Radio Star’ is always my first choice for promotion.” He even performs a duet with Kwon Jin-ah during the episode.
Park also expressed his fondness for Wonder Girls member Ahn So-hee, now an actress. “So-hee is my best friend she’s incredibly sweet and kind,” he said with a warm, fatherly smile. He humorously recalled filming a congratulatory video for her first fan meeting in the rain while in Italy. The duo, who refer to each other as “besties,” also put on an impromptu dance performance for the first time in 14 years.

When TIME magazine ranked JYP Entertainment third globally and first in Korea among the world’s best companies in sustainable growth, Park humbly credited his staff. “It’s all thanks to the people in our company. I believe a heartfelt system will always shine through,” he said. In a lighthearted moment, he added, “Rain and Wonder Girls built the old HQ, and Stray Kids and TWICE built the new one.”
Park proudly discussed Stray Kids’ Billboard success, saying, “These guys have their own color. All I do is pave the way.” He then revealed he gave the group gold worth over 100 million KRW, joking, “The gold price has gone up again.”

He also touched on new features in the company’s headquarters, such as an organic restaurant and organic lunchbox delivery service, saying, “Just like music, sincerity matters when it comes to food.”
The segment concluded with a glimpse into his family life. A proud father of two daughters, Park shared that his eldest is great at dancing while the youngest is talented in singing suggesting they may have inherited his musical DNA.
J.Y. Park’s latest track and candid stories about music, mentorship, and family will be featured on “Radio Star” airing Wednesday, November 5 at 10:30 PM KST.
