Taiwanese cheerleader Guoguo (Jiang Wei-lin) and singer-actor Prince Chiu (Qiu Sheng-yi) are at the center of a heated scandal after being caught living together while Guoguo was still married.
According to reports by ETtoday and NOWnews, a private investigation agency hired by Guoguo’s husband Fan Jiang Yan-feng captured footage showing the married cheerleader staying overnight at Prince’s home , located in the same luxury neighborhood where actress Kunling (Jay Chou’s wife) resides.
The evidence reportedly prompted Fan Jiang to file for divorce, citing “clear proof of marital infidelity.”
When contacted by the media, Detective Agency CEO Hsieh Chih-po offered a cautious statement:
“We appreciate the public’s attention to this case. Due to confidentiality agreements, we cannot comment further. However, our goal remains the same — that both parties reach understanding and closure.”
His vague remarks left the public speculating about the full extent of the evidence.
Amid the escalating backlash, Prince released a statement expressing regret over his involvement.
“I am not someone who destroys families,” he wrote. “This was not a long-term secret affair nor a relationship born from bad intentions.”
Prince admitted that his bond with Guoguo began when she was in the process of negotiating divorce, saying he became “too emotionally involved” while trying to offer comfort.
“Out of concern and empathy, I acted in ways that were inappropriate. A mistake is a mistake — there are no excuses,” he added, publicly apologizing to Fan Jiang, Guoguo, and their families.
Despite his apology, public sentiment remains overwhelmingly negative, with many accusing him of hypocrisy and moral irresponsibility.

In response to her husband’s claims of “moral collapse”, Guoguo broke her silence on October 29, saying she had made every effort to handle the separation rationally.
“I tried to end this marriage with sincerity and reason. We discussed divorce for a long time, but his financial demands were far beyond what I could afford,” she said.
She also denied several of her husband’s allegations, claiming that some viral videos contained “distorted information.”
“I will clarify everything soon. As a mother, I will take full responsibility and will not mislead anyone,” she concluded.
Adding fuel to the fire, tabloids hinted that Guoguo and Prince might not be the only pair involved in an alleged circle of celebrity affairs, dubbed by netizens as the “Western Affair Club.”
While no further names have been officially confirmed, the rumor has already ignited intense discussion online.
The scandal has shaken both the entertainment and sports communities, tarnishing Guoguo’s image as a “married goddess” and placing Prince’s career under threat.

Social media remains divided — some sympathize with Guoguo’s claims of financial pressure and emotional isolation, while others condemn both parties for betraying marital vows and violating public trust.
For now, both stars remain under public scrutiny, as Taiwan’s entertainment industry watches to see how — or if — they can recover from the fallout.
