Taiwanese actress Ally Chiu, once known for her high-profile relationship with Guo Fang-ju son of veteran TV producer Guo Jian-hong has now seemingly moved on. In a series of candid snaps taken on 17 October, Chiu was seen returning to her new home in Taipei with a tall, handsome Korean man, who reportedly just arrived from South Korea with luggage in tow.

Just a few months ago, Chiu was still openly celebrating Guo’s birthday in May. But by late August, she was spotted holding hands with another man in Taipei’s upscale Xinyi District one who clearly wasn’t Guo Fang-ju. Rumours swirled, and now, it seems the truth is out.

That very afternoon, the couple were spotted heading out with shopping bags in hand, dressed casually but coordinating in black and white outfits. Their day included stops at a furniture store, a food court where they laughed and dined together, and a supermarket with no shortage of public displays of affection throughout. The Korean “oppa” was seen embracing Chiu, kissing her hair and gently caressing her arms signs of a relationship in full bloom.

Later in the evening, they were seen heading to a cinema in Neihu District, followed by another supermarket run around 10pm. The pair eventually returned to Chiu’s residence, seemingly after realising they’d missed a few items on their shopping list.

The following day, the Korean boyfriend posted photos of their groceries including beef, milk, sauces, and Korean-labelled breakfast foods on social media, suggesting the two may have enjoyed a cosy “mini cohabitation” experience at Chiu’s flat.

Responding to media interest, Chiu’s management confirmed the new relationship with the Korean boyfriend. However, they declined to comment on the timeline of the romance or her breakup with Guo Fang-ju, stating: “The company respects the artist’s personal privacy and does not interfere.”

Chiu’s blossoming new love has captivated the attention of fans and local media, especially as she has recently taken to social media to show off her Korean language studies a move that now seems perfectly aligned with her cross-cultural romance.
