Cecilia Cheung dating rumor

On October 25, Chinese media outlet Sohu reported that social media platform Weibo was abuzz with speculation that Cecilia Cheung has a new boyfriend — one 24 years younger than her.

Viral photos showed the actress walking with a young man through the streets of Hong Kong, sparking heated discussions across online forums. Netizens quickly identified the man as Shao Ziheng, born in 2004, a rookie idol and the son of award-winning actor Shao Bing.

Shao Bing, once a household name in China, earned the Best Actor titles at both the Golden Phoenix and Golden Rooster Awards, making his son’s rumored involvement with Cecilia Cheung even more sensational.

“Cecilia Cheung was seen strolling with a young man in Central, Hong Kong. Many netizens speculated that she was dating a ‘child actor,’” one viral post claimed.

However, Cecilia Cheung’s team quickly denied the dating rumors, clarifying the real situation.

“The online rumors are false. Cecilia Cheung and Shao Ziheng are not in a romantic relationship,” her representative stated. “They were filming for the variety show ‘The Blooming Journey’ Season 2, which also stars Zhao Kechun and veteran actresses like Carina Lau, Ning Jing, and Liu Xiaoqing.”

The studio further emphasized that the actress “has no interest in dating younger men.”

Cecilia Cheung was previously married to actor-singer Nicholas Tse. The two fell in love after co-starring in The Promise, directed by Chen Kaige. In 2006, Nicholas famously proposed to Cecilia by the sea, and the couple soon tied the knot in a quiet ceremony attended only by close friends.

The marriage ended in 2011, and the two now share two sons, Lucas and Quintus, whom Cecilia has raised as a single mother.

In 2018, the actress surprised fans again when she announced the birth of her third son, Marcus, without revealing the father’s identity. Various rumors suggested that Marcus’s father might be businessman Sun Donghai or a foreign engineer named Leo, but Cecilia has denied all such claims.

“There is no truth to the speculation about Marcus’s father. Cecilia Cheung is raising her children independently,” her representative said firmly.
