Singer-songwriter EJAE, who rose to international fame for composing the KPop Demon Hunters OST “Golden”, is once again drawing public attention this time because of her stunning mother, Shin Hye-jin.
On October 23, former announcer Kim Yeon-joo, wife of TV personality Im Baek-cheon, shared a photo on Instagram with the caption: “#LeeYoungAe #KdeheonLeeJaeMomShinHyeJin #BeautifulArtistAwards.”
The photo showed actress Lee Young-ae, Kim Yeon-joo, and Shin Hye-jin together at the Beautiful Artist Awards. Even standing next to one of Korea’s most admired actresses, Shin Hye-jin’s elegant beauty and poise caught the attention of netizens, who praised her timeless charm.
“She doesn’t lose her shine even beside Lee Young-ae,” one online comment read.
EJAE recently captivated audiences with her work as the voice of Rumi, the main character in the Netflix film K-Pop Demon Hunters affectionately called “Kdeheon” by fans. The film’s soundtrack “Golden”, which she composed and performed, topped the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, marking a major milestone for a Korean artist.
It turns out EJAE’s talent runs in the family. Her mother, Shin Hye-jin, is the daughter of legendary Korean actor Shin Young-kyun, making EJAE part of a well-known entertainment lineage.
