During a recent YouTube video on the joint channel she shares with husband Ki Tae Young, actress and former S.E.S member Eugene spoke candidly about an unpleasant filming memory involving a co-star’s strong cigarette odor.
Titled “Why Eugene Got Serious Over Ki Tae Young’s Comment: A 15-Year Couple’s Clashing Views”, the video showed the couple engaging in a playful “balance game” choosing between two difficult scenarios. When asked to choose between “a co-star with sewer breath” or “a co-star who keeps forgetting lines,” Eugene didn’t hesitate to call the former her worst nightmare.
Ki Tae Young chimed in with his own thoughts, saying, “If it’s not just acting but a romantic scene, it can get pretty uncomfortable. I try not to judge maybe they’re feeling unwell. Forgetting lines can happen if someone’s nervous, but when it gets excessive, it does wear you down.”
Eugene, however, detailed a particular encounter with a female actress, revealing, “We had to exchange lines closely, and I had no choice but to breathe. Of course, while she spoke, my reaction was being filmed. But the smell of rotten cigarettes was overwhelming.”
Though she didn’t reveal the name of the actress, Eugene’s frank admission sparked immediate speculation online.
Eugene and Ki Tae Young first met while filming the 2009 drama Creating Destiny and tied the knot in 2011. The beloved couple now have two daughters and continue to charm fans with their YouTube content, offering behind-the-scenes looks into their marriage and careers.
