Kim Jung Hoon first debuted in 2000 as part of the duo UN alongside Choi Jung Won, winning fans with hits like Forever, Wave, and Gift. He later dropped out of Seoul National University’s dental program to pursue acting, transferring to Chung-Ang University’s Department of Theater. His acting career included dramas such as Princess Hours (2006), Witch Yoo Hee (2007), I Need Romance (2011), and the film Sunday Punch (2011).

However, his career faced setbacks due to personal controversies. In July 2011, he was booked for drunk driving, resulting in a license cancellation. More recently, in December 2023, he was involved in a car accident and refused a police request for a sobriety test. In May 2024, he received a fine of 10 million KRW for charges including violating the Special Traffic Act. In 2019, he was sued by a former girlfriend over alleged coercion related to pregnancy termination and financial disputes.

Due to these scandals, Kim halted his domestic activities and focused on connecting with fans in Japan. With Marriage Scandal: Pandora’s Secret, he is now preparing to reestablish himself in Korea. The drama has already begun filming and will be released on platforms such as Wavve and GTV.
