On October 7, DPR IAN (real name Christian Yu) has sent shockwaves through the international fan community after posting a series of emotional and chaotic messages on X (Twitter), expressing feelings of betrayal, financial exploitation, and deep despair.
The Korean-Australian artist, beloved by fans worldwide, shared several posts hinting at a severe internal conflict within Dream Perfect Regime (DPR) — the creative collective he co-founded and helped lead for over a decade.
In his posts, DPR IAN identified himself as the CEO and founder of DPR, directly accusing Scott Kim (DPR REM) a former core member who left the group in 2024 of betrayal and exploitation.
“He’s the enemy who took everything from me,” IAN wrote, using strong and explicit language.
He went on to reveal that despite being behind nearly all of DPR’s visual and creative direction, he had “never received any financial benefit in over ten years.”
“For 10 years, I’ve received nothing… Do you think I made any money?” he added, claiming he had fallen into debt due to the situation and was treated “worse than a secretary.” “They took everything — and didn’t even bother to say thank you.”
What worried fans even more was the visible emotional breakdown behind the posts. DPR IAN has previously opened up about his bipolar disorder and dissociative identity disorder (DID), but this is the first time he’s expressed such extreme distress publicly.
“I will destroy myself mentally to give you happiness and freedom,” he wrote in one tweet, describing his pain as both punishment and plea for understanding.
In another, he reflected on how DPR once “saved me from a horrible life after idolhood” — but now, “everything’s been torn apart.”
Still, amid the chaos, he ended with a note of fragile hope: “Regain your strength, look at your scars one last time, and move forward.”
Within hours, #DPRIAN became a worldwide trending topic, as fans expressed both sympathy and alarm. While many urged people to give the artist privacy and time to heal, others demanded a statement from DPR members such as DPR LIVE and DPR CREAM to clarify the internal situation.
As of now, DPR has not issued an official statement, fueling speculation about financial mismanagement, leadership disputes, and a creative split within the collective.

Built around a small core team DPR IAN (Christian Yu) as director and artist, DPR LIVE (Hong Da-bin) as rapper and frontman, and DPR CREAM (Kim Hyung-mo) as producer the collective became a global sensation for its cohesive artistry and independence from the mainstream K-pop system.
In recent years, DPR added DPR ARTIC (Kim Yongwoo) as a producer and DJ, expanding its creative vision. However, IAN’s latest accusations against former founding member DPR REM (Scott Kim) over alleged financial misconduct have shaken the group’s reputation as one of Korea’s most respected indie collectives.
