On October 1, a press conference for tvN’s new weekend drama Typhoon Family was held at The Link Hotel in Guro, Seoul, with Lee Junho, Kim Min Ha, and director Lee Na Jung in attendance.
Typhoon Family tells the story of Kang Tae Poong, a rookie businessman who suddenly becomes the head of a struggling trading company during the 1997 IMF crisis, with no money, employees, or resources, as he navigates his growth.
The drama follows Bon Appétit, Your Majesty, starring Im Yoon Ah and Lee Chae Min, which achieved a peak rating of 17.1% and dominated both viewership and buzz. Lee Junho previously starred opposite Im Yoon Ah in King the Land, where they showcased their chemistry in a romantic storyline.
Speaking about his role, Lee Junho shared, “The cast of King the Land still has a group chat. Im Yoon Ah and I exchanged messages saying how fun Bon Appétit, Your Majesty was and congratulated each other. Since that drama achieved global success, I believe expectations are high for our drama as its successor. I feel like we’ve inherited good energy.”
Typhoon Family is scheduled to premiere on October 11 at 9:10 p.m. KST.
