On the morning of September 30, Lee Chae Min sat down for an end-of-series interview at a café in Gangnam, following the conclusion of tvN’s weekend drama Bon Appétit, Your Majesty. Based on the hit web novel Surviving as Yeonsan-gun’s Chef, the fantasy rom-com follows a modern-day chef who time-slips into the past and encounters a tyrant king with an extraordinary palate.

When asked about Ryu Da In’s reaction to the drama’s success, Lee admitted, “We don’t really talk much about each other’s projects. Honestly, I can’t say much in that regard because it’s a sensitive area.”

On whether being in a public relationship made performing romantic roles more challenging, Lee responded, “Rather than feeling pressured, it actually motivates me to immerse myself fully in the role so that viewers see me as the character, not as myself. I always remind myself to control my mindset and give my best.”

The actor also addressed recent speculation when he and Ryu Da In both shared similar cake photos, sparking talk of a “Lovestagram.” He clarified, “I saw articles about that yesterday, but it wasn’t intentional. I just realized we’re getting a lot of attention.”
Another point of buzz was Lee wearing what appeared to be a couple ring at Bon Appétit, Your Majesty‘s wrap-up party. Lee explained, “I didn’t wear it with that intention; it was just a fashion choice. I honestly didn’t expect photos to be taken there. If anything, it was my mistake.” But when asked directly if the ring was a couple item, he caused laughter by replying, “That’s a secret.”
