BE:FIRST’s Ryoki Miyama and actress Shuri have welcomed their first child, marking a new chapter in their relationship despite ongoing controversy surrounding the idol.
The couple, who revealed their marriage and Shuri’s pregnancy on August 29, shared the happy news on September 26. They posted intimate photos of their newborn’s tiny hands and feet, expressing gratitude toward their parents, medical staff, and fans while vowing to “protect what must be protected.”
Shuri, 35, is the daughter of veteran actor Mizutani Yutaka and former Candies idol Ito Ran. Ryoki, 26, has been on hiatus from BE:FIRST since becoming embroiled in a scandal earlier this year.
Initially, the couple had planned to marry in May, but their announcement was delayed after reports emerged in April accusing Ryoki of defrauding former pornstar and YouTuber Ono Akari. Media outlets claimed he accepted nearly 100 million yen (approx. 940 million KRW) from her while engaged, before abruptly ending the relationship. Ryoki admitted to dating Akari but denied the fraud allegations, saying the breakup was mutual. Shuri’s parents reportedly opposed their relationship even before the scandal surfaced.
Despite the backlash, Shuri and Ryoki pressed forward with their marriage and now, the birth of their child. While Ryoki’s entertainment career remains uncertain, the couple emphasized their determination to protect their family and move forward.
