According to the child welfare organization Green Umbrella ChildFund Korea on September 26, Jimin’s younger brother officially joined the Green Noble Club in May, following in the footsteps of Jimin and their father. This marked the first time in the organization’s history that a father and two sons have all become members.

The Green Noble Club, established in 2017, is a prestigious donor network for high-value contributions, which has since grown to 548 members in just eight years. Jimin first joined in 2021 by donating 100 million KRW to support self-reliant youth in Busan, as well as children from low-income families affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2022, his father also became a member through sponsorship of the “i-Leader” talent development program. With Jimin’s brother Park Ji Hyun joining after his military service, the family achieved a record as the first “three-member household” donors in the club.

Jimin’s contributions have created lasting impact. His 2021 donation to the “Together Green Future” project helped disadvantaged youth pursue careers as café owners, hair stylists, and nursing assistants, inspiring further corporate sponsorships. Alongside his father and brother, Jimin has also supported “i-Leader,” a program nurturing talented children into future leaders, which has supported over 8,400 participants since 2009.

Jimin’s father has consistently donated since 2021, funding medical expenses, living costs, and education for struggling families and students. He once personally paid 15 million KRW for dental treatment for a single father who couldn’t eat properly, and continues to sponsor high school students through their university education.

Beyond Green Umbrella, Jimin has long been a pillar of support for education. Since 2019, he has donated 30 million KRW annually in scholarships to his alma mater, Busan High School of Arts, while also providing furniture, exam support, and performance opportunities for students. His philanthropy has expanded nationwide, donating 100 million KRW to educational offices across multiple provinces, as well as international relief, including aid for children affected by the Turkey-Syria earthquake.

Even during military service, Jimin continued giving, donating 100 million KRW to support soldiers and their families, and contributing the same amount to firefighters during the 2025 North Gyeongsang wildfires. Recently, he also donated 30 million KRW to improve housing for low-income seniors.

Jimin’s influence extends far beyond personal contributions. His charitable spirit has inspired fans worldwide to create a positive fandom culture, organizing donation drives in his name for schools, communities, and disaster relief. Green Umbrella honored the family’s commitment with plaques of appreciation to both Jimin and his father, recognizing their role in advancing intergenerational philanthropy.

Green Umbrella Chairman Hwang Young-gi stated: “The Jimin family’s impact goes beyond donations—it symbolizes the transmission of giving across generations and the global spread of fandom philanthropy.”
