The Coldplay concert affair scandal has taken a surprising turn. According to a report by The Times on September 23 (local time), the husband of the woman accused of having an affair at the concert was also in attendance—with his own date.
The controversy began when Andy Byron, former CEO of U.S. IT firm Astronomer, and Kristin Cabot, the company’s former Chief People Officer, were shown on the “kiss cam” embracing during Coldplay’s July show in Boston. Realizing they had been caught on the big screen, the pair quickly ducked out of sight. The moment went viral on TikTok and other platforms, fueling rumors of an affair. Both eventually resigned from Astronomer.
At the time, it was widely believed that Kristin Cabot’s husband, Andrew, was in Japan. However, a source told The Times that Andrew was actually present at the same Coldplay concert, seated with another woman who is now his girlfriend.

According to the insider, Kristin Cabot was sitting in a box with colleagues, while Andrew was nearby with his date. The source added that the couple had already been separated for weeks before the concert and were in an amicable situation. In August, Kristin filed for divorce in a Portsmouth, New Hampshire court.

The source also revealed that Byron had been separated from his wife at the time of the concert, though he had not yet initiated divorce proceedings. They further claimed that Byron and Kristin were simply close friends, not romantically involved, despite being caught in an embrace.
“Kristin admitted that, as the company’s HR chief, her actions with her boss were inappropriate—but that was the extent of it,” the source said. They also described the fallout as brutal, revealing that Kristin received hundreds of death threats following the viral incident.
