On September 24, IZE confirmed that KBS announced its latest music review results, where Nana’s title track GOD received a “not suitable” judgment. The reason cited was the use of profanity, vulgar, and crude expressions within the lyrics.

Released on September 14, Seventh Heaven 16 marks Nana’s first solo album, featuring three tracks: GOD, Daylight, and Hurt. The project reflects Nana’s honest emotions and hidden inner struggles behind her glamorous stage persona. The title track GOD in particular explores themes of faith and existential questioning.

Nana, who debuted in 2009 with After School and later became a member of the subunit Orange Caramel, has expanded into acting and various entertainment ventures. Sixteen years after her debut, she finally took the leap to establish herself as a solo artist with a distinctive concept and worldview.

Despite her highly anticipated solo release, KBS’s decision means that GOD cannot be aired on its TV or radio programs unless the problematic lyrics are revised and resubmitted for review.

The same review session also declared two songs by Yoo Seung-jun (Pathetic Boy and Wake You!) unfit for broadcast, citing similar reasons related to profanity and crude expressions.
