On September 22, Suga uploaded several photos to his account without any captions. In the images, he is dressed in an all-black outfit while playing the guitar. The post immediately drew massive attention as it marked his first update since August 25, 2023.

Suga had previously faced significant backlash in August 2024 after being charged with driving an electric scooter under the influence in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul. At the time, his blood alcohol level was measured at 0.227%—three times the license cancellation standard. He was fined ₩15 million following a summary indictment.

In response, Suga posted a handwritten apology, admitting, “My careless actions hurt everyone who supports me. I will live with remorse and make sure not to repeat such mistakes.”

After completing his alternative service as a public service worker on June 21, Suga once again apologized for the scandal: “I’m deeply sorry for causing disappointment and concern, especially for breaking the hearts of fans. I also feel sorry for my fellow members who must have carried heavy hearts because of me.”

That same month, Suga announced the establishment of a specialized treatment center at Severance Hospital to support therapy and independence for patients with autism spectrum disorder. He donated an unprecedented ₩5 billion—the largest single artist donation in the history of Yonsei Medical Center.

Beyond the financial contribution, reports revealed that from March to June, Suga volunteered his weekends to meet children with autism spectrum disorder and actively participated in developing new treatment programs, adding warmth to his gesture.

Now, with BTS preparing for their full-group comeback, Suga’s social media return highlights his commitment to moving forward. Having repeatedly expressed remorse, made a record-breaking donation, and pledged long-term involvement in the new center, all eyes are on whether Suga can regain the trust and love of the public and fans.
