On the September 21 broadcast of SBS’s My Little Old Boy , Lee Jun Young appeared as a special MC. Known for his role as Yeong Beom, IU’s first love in When Life Gives You Tangerines, he shared that even everyday encounters reminded him of his character. “A citizen told me seriously, ‘Shouldn’t you apologize?’ after the in-laws scene aired, and I got a lot of backlash after the broadcast. My father even joked, ‘I’ll serve the scorched rice, just bring home a daughter-in-law.’”

He also addressed his mistake at the 4th Blue Dragon Series Awards in July, when he accidentally walked onto the stage after hearing his name, though the actual winner was Lee joon hyuk. “I just wanted to go home right away. Before the second part started, I went to Joon Hyuk and told him I was very sorry. Senior actors said it was funny and entertaining, but I was so embarrassed,” he recalled. “Then, as soon as the second half began, MC Shin Dong Yup brought it up again, which made me feel even more mortified. When I went home to wash up, I kept thinking, ‘I wish he hadn’t mentioned it.’”
Lee caused laughter as he added, “The next day, I went to the airport for an overseas schedule, and the staff emphasized my name as ‘Lee Jun Young’ when calling me.”
The actor also touched on his personal life, confessing that his dating experience is limited. “I’ve dated so little that I can count on one hand,” he admitted. Still, he playfully described himself as somewhat skilled in romance, saying he has a way of making others approach him first. “I’m shy and reserved, so I don’t say much. But that makes people want to take care of me, and they come closer on their own,” he explained.
