On September 20, Kim Yoo-jung’s agency told Xports News, “After wrapping up filming for the drama Dear X, the cast and crew, including the director, went on a team trip. The photos in question were taken during that trip. The dating rumors are not true.”
Kim Do-hoon’s agency Peak J Entertainment echoed the statement, confirming: “The trip was with the production team after wrapping up Dear X.”
The speculation began when a photo circulated online showing Kim Do-hoon seated next to a woman wearing a mask, leading some netizens to claim that the woman resembled Kim Yoo-jung. Fans pointed out similarities between the woman’s outfit—a sleeveless top, shorts, and a green bag—and an outfit Kim Yoo-jung had posted on Instagram back in June.
Adding fuel to the rumors, another netizen claimed to have spotted Kim Do-hoon on a Vietnam Airlines business-class flight. However, both agencies have clarified that the trip was purely work-related and part of a group outing.
The two actors recently worked together in the upcoming TVING original series Dear X, set to premiere on November 6. The series follows Baek Ah-jin (played by Kim Yoo-jung), a woman who wears a mask to escape from hell and climb to the top, and the people she cruelly tramples on along the way.
With her agency’s swift denial, the dating speculation has been laid to rest, and fans now look forward to seeing Kim Yoo-jung and Kim Do-hoon reunite on screen.
