On Sep 17th (local time), major Japanese media reported that the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department’s Juvenile Development Division arrested Hiroshi Torimaru on charges of violating the Child Welfare Act.
From April 2021 to October 2022, Torimaru is accused of sexually harassing and sexual intercourse on a total of 12 occasions by calling A, a member of a girl group who was 16~17 years old at the time, to a hotel in Tokyo.

According to police, A signed a contract with the agency when she was 14 years old and started her career. She was called to a hotel from the age of 15 under the pretext of photos for her activities. Torimaru is found to have forced A to make obscene poses and acts in spaces such as hotels, saying, “Let’s take pictures for sale to fans.“
A said in a police investigation, “I really liked idol activities and wanted to continue. However, I could not refuse the CEO’s request. It was mentally difficult to be contacted to come to the hotel, but I thought that if I refused, I could not continue my activities.“

In response, Torimaru refuted, saying, “I thought it was a serious relationship,” and denied some of the charges, saying, “In this industry, it is often the case that operators and idols date.“
Police are investigating whether any additional victims have been forced to engage in other obscenities after confiscating Torimaru’s smartphone.
Hiroshi Torimaru, born in 1986, is 39 years old..
