The 16 finalists who will compete on the grand finale stage of Boys II Planet have been revealed. With just one week left until the debut of the new 2025 rookie group, Mnet’s survival show has proven its global popularity once again, recording 32,520,432 votes from 213 countries and regions in the fourth round of global voting. Notably, 2.42 million people participated in the last eight days of voting, surpassing the previous season’s engagement.
The buzz around the show is undeniable. Among female viewers in their teens and twenties, ratings hit 1.5% and 2.4%, topping all networks in the same time slot, including public broadcasters. On OTT platform TVING, real-time viewer share reached nearly 80%, while international streaming via Mnet Plus jumped more than 33% compared to the previous week. The hype extended to global social media, with the show trending worldwide on X (formerly Twitter) and entering both the main and entertainment charts on China’s Weibo.

Episode 10, aired on September 18, unveiled the final 16 contestants who survived the fierce competition. Consistent frontrunner Lee Sang-won maintained his unshakable first-place streak with 8.28 million points. Following closely were Zhou Anxin (2nd) and Lee Leo (3rd), while Kim Geon-woo (4th), Zhang Jiahao (5th), He Xinlong (6th), Kim Jun-seo (7th), and Chung Sang-hyeon (8th) rounded out the top eight, heating up the race for the debut lineup.
Park Dong-gyu jumped 10 spots from 24th place to 14th, securing his place in the finale. Zhang Jiahao broke into the top eight for the first time, while Yumeki (9th), Jun Lee-jeong (15th), and Kang Woo-jin (16th) all saw major rank increases, claiming their final tickets and delivering unexpected plot twists. The finalists pledged to repay their fans—known as “Star Creators”—with their best performances, promising to honor even those who were eliminated.
The final global vote runs until 10 a.m. KST on September 25 through Mnet Plus, with a second round of voting held during the live broadcast. This last vote allows only one pick, determining the final debut lineup.
The finale mission was also revealed: the 16 contestants will be split into two teams of eight, each performing an original song. “Brat Attitude” blends hip-hop and EDM with bold lyrics about forging one’s own path, performed by Chen Kaiwen, Park Dong-gyu, Chuei Li-yu, Kim Jun-seo, Zhang Jiahao, He Xinlong, Chung Sang-hyeon, and Yumeki. Meanwhile, “Never Been 2 Heaven” features funky rhythms and upbeat vocals capturing the thrill of youth, performed by Zhou Anxin, Lee Leo, Lee Sang-won, Kim Geon-woo, Jun Lee-jeong, Kang Woo-jin, Yoo Kang-min, and Kim Jun-min.
Competition for the coveted killing parts is fierce. Contestants voted internally, nominating Yumeki and Zhang Jiahao for one team, and Yoo Kang-min and Zhou Anxin for the other. Star Creator votes will determine the final killing part performers, raising anticipation for who will ignite the stage. Voting for this special evaluation runs until 10 a.m. KST on September 19 via Mnet Plus.
The grand finale of Boys II Planet will air live on September 25 at 8 p.m. KST, with over 3,500 Star Creators present to witness the birth of the new debut group.
