Actress Seo Woo has officially returned to the public eye this time, not through dramas or films, but as a YouTuber.

On September 11, Seo Woo launched her personal channel “Annyeonghaseowoo” and greeted fans with a humble self-introduction:

“It’s been a long time. Many of you may not know me, but I was an actor a long time ago. Now, I’m starting a YouTube channel.”

She explained that her channel’s first “season” will feature snippets of her daily life in the United States. Seo Woo added that she edits and subtitles her videos herself, asking viewers for patience and understanding.

Seo Woo’s transformation into a YouTuber is gaining attention because of the memorable impact she left as an actress. Since her debut in 2007, she starred in acclaimed works such as Tamra, the Island, Cinderella’s Stepsister, Flames of Desire, and the film The Housemaid, where her bold performances earned recognition. Her sudden break after 2019 left fans curious about her absence.

In 2016, Seo Woo revealed on a broadcast that she was battling an autoimmune disease. Her last acting role was in the 2019 film The House, after which she took a step back from the spotlight. Now, her healthy and cheerful return has sparked excitement, with fans welcoming the chance to see a more down-to-earth, genuine side of her.

Seo Woo shared her motivation:

“I want to record my happy daily life as if writing a diary. That’s why I started YouTube.”

Moving away from her fierce on-screen personas, Seo Woo now invites audiences to witness her candid everyday moments. With her six-year hiatus behind her, curiosity is high about what new charms she will showcase in this chapter as a YouTuber.
