On September 11, a video titled “The Day the Tiger Gets Married” was uploaded to Kim Jong-kook’s YouTube channel “Gym Jong-kook”. In the video, the singer expressed gratitude: “Thank you to everyone who congratulated me on my marriage. I’m sorry I couldn’t share more because we held the ceremony quietly for personal reasons. I truly appreciate everyone who understood.”
Kim also addressed rumors of a shotgun wedding. “It was a decision made not long ago, and although the wedding came together quickly, it wasn’t because of a pregnancy. At my age, a shotgun wedding would be a blessing,” he said. He further explained that his mother’s absence from My Little Old Boy was due to preparations for the wedding.
The guest list included Running Man members Yoo Jae-suk, Ji Suk-jin, Haha, Song Ji-hyo, Yang Se-chan, and PD Choi Hyung-in; his “Dragon Club” brothers Cha Tae-hyun, Jang Hyuk, and Hong Kyung-min; as well as Joo Woo-jae, Kang Hoon, Seo Jang-hoon, Jonathan, and Shorry. In addition, Kim invited his lawyer, stylist, manager, Ma Sun-ho, and members from his workout circle.

Notably absent was Lee Kwang-soo, a Running Man original member who worked alongside Kim for over 11 years. The omission puzzled many fans given their close friendship.
A source clarified to MyDaily: “Lee Kwang-soo was in Vietnam at the time for promotions of his film Love Barista. The promotional schedule had already been set before he learned of the wedding.”
Kim Jong-kook held his wedding on September 5 at a hotel in Gangnam, Seoul, in a private ceremony with only close friends and family.
