Lee Hyori has officially opened her new yoga studio in Seoul, and the first class is already receiving glowing reviews.

On September 8, the singer and entertainer welcomed students to the opening session of Ananda Yoga, located in Yeonhui-dong, Seodaemun-gu. Before beginning, she set a respectful atmosphere by requesting: “No photos or videos during practice. After class, you may take photos freely, but please understand I can only take group photos with everyone rather than individual shots.”

The reactions from attendees ranged from simple admiration— “Teacher Hyori is so beautiful” and “It was such a good class” —to deeply emotional testimonies. One student, who had stepped away from yoga due to past struggles while training as an instructor, shared: “Today’s class helped heal the wounds I carried. I feel like my heart is mending.”

Another student even wrote Lee Hyori a heartfelt letter: “Last year, I found my lifelong partner after 40 years. This year, I met you in class. Having one such precious memory each year is enough to keep me happy for a long time.”

Adding to the warm atmosphere, local business owners also shared photos of the traditional gaeeop-tteok (celebratory rice cakes) that Lee Hyori personally handed out to neighbors to mark the opening.

Lee Hyori has long been associated with yoga as part of her wellness routine. Back in 2016, she opened her first yoga studio in Jeju, where she lived for several years before returning to more frequent activities in Seoul.

With this new chapter, fans and students alike are eager to see how Lee Hyori blends her star power with her passion for yoga, turning Ananda Yoga into a healing space not just for the body, but for the heart.
