It hasn’t been long since Kim Jong-kook tied the knot, but his friends are already noticing changes in him.
On the September 6 broadcast of MBC’s variety show Hangout with Yoo, Yoo Jae-suk and Song Eun-yi joked about Kim Jong-kook’s noticeably softer demeanor following his recent marriage.
During the episode, Yoo Jae-suk recruited Song Eun-yi and Kim Sook as a duo for an ’80s music festival segment. In the middle of playful banter, Yoo Jae-suk remarked: “Back in the day, Kim Jong-kook would have said something (to scold Joo Woo-jae). But now, he doesn’t.”
Song Eun-yi agreed, adding with a laugh: “Before his wedding, his face even looked prettier. He doesn’t say anything these days.”
The comments drew laughter from the cast, highlighting how Kim Jong-kook—long known for his tough “Sparta” persona—seems to be mellowing out after marriage.
Kim Jong-kook married his non-celebrity girlfriend on September 5 at a private ceremony in Seoul. Only family members and close friends attended, with Yoo Jae-suk serving as MC to add a personal touch.
The couple’s wedding was held under strict privacy, with no photos or videos released to the public. Still, stories from his close colleagues suggest that marriage may already be bringing out a warmer, gentler side of the singer.
