Kim Min-seok’s father passed away on September 5 at the age of 57. The actor is currently preparing the funeral arrangements in deep sorrow. The wake is being held at Pohang Citizens’ Funeral Hall, with the funeral service scheduled for September 7 at 8:30 AM. The burial will take place at the Pohang City Crematorium.
Kim Min-seok first gained recognition through Mnet’s audition program Superstar K before making his official acting debut in the drama Flower Band. He went on to appear in projects such as Aftermath and Who Are You: School 2015. His popularity grew further with The Beauty Inside and Descendants of the Sun, where he earned wide acclaim from the public. He later solidified his reputation as a trustworthy actor through roles in Hello, My Twenties! 2, Because This Is My First Life, and Lovestruck in the City.
Recently, Kim Min-seok appeared in Mr. Plankton and Shark: The Storm. He is currently filming the upcoming tvN drama Typhoon Family alongside Lee Jun-ho.
